WordPress – A free Blog service for Internet users & bloggers

WordPress is world’s popular free Blog site service provider. Automattic Inc founded WordPress in 2003. WordPress started their free blog hosting service on 8^th August 2005 in private beta. Later, Automattic Inc satisfied about their service and officially released their service on 21^st November 2005 for interesting Internet users and bloggers. Day by day, WordPress build their foundation and now WordPress is second largest free weblog service provider in Internet and major competitor to Google’s free blog service Blogger. Most of Internet users used to host their free blog sites and custom domains at either Blogger or WordPress.

Search Engines and Blog directories respect WordPress blogs and can easily index without submitting Blog site to Search engines and Blog Directories. WordPress runs very advanced technology which automatically alerts all search engines and blog directories. Similarly, WordPress blogs can easily get PageRank and Site Rank as my personal experience. Recently, I observed My WordPress blog received PageRank with only 5 blog entries. That is why, Website owners and Bloggers used to host their websites and blog sites at WordPress.

Even Yahoo! Blogs are also hosted at WordPress. Internet users focused on their WordPress hosted blog sites and received sufficient websites traffic. However, Presently, WordPress does not allow members to make money from their blog sites and not rewards even 1 cent. This is one of the negative points of this service. WordPress makes money by displaying Google AdSense link ads and Banner advertisements in their WordPress blogs. WordPress may participate in Google AdSense API to make money and to offer good money making opportunity for their members.

WordPress allows upgraded members to displays advertisements. Similarly, WordPress tries to launch JavaScript support WordPress blogs. This feature may also available in future days. As we already know that Blogger already launched Custom Domain feature for $10 USD for 1 year. Similarly, WordPress also follows Google’s route. Now, WordPress teamed up with Web hosting services and introduced Custom Domain feature for $15 USD for 1 year. Recently, WordPress released WordPress 2.5.1 version software. Everyone can now download at their official website area.

WordPress achieved great achievements through their successful service and now WordPress is 40^th website as per Alexa Traffic service and 2^nd largest free Blog hosting service and WordPress users can also expert more achievements from their dedicated service in upcoming years.
